Michael J Furnace

I can't imagine the pain you felt as you took your own life that day. At the tender age of 14 years old, you felt that the entire world was against you. We never saw a sign--you were always loving and caring and we loved and cared for you. I wrote this poem especially for you so that you would always know that you were truly loved and we will miss you always. Be safe baby!

I watched a beautiful little baby
Grown into a wonderful young man.
I felt the love of your toddler kisses
Surround my heart with a plan.

The way you smiled when I tickled you
Was the pure innocence of your youth.
And once you became a little man
You began to see and believe the truth.

I cannot protect you now my little one
For God has made his choice.
To steal you from my loving heart
And give you a stronger voice.

I know not what plans are in store
But a message is forth coming.
I only hope your pain is now gone
And you will have no more suffering.

I will carry on the lesson I've been taught
To cherish each child as if they were my own.
I will guide them through their hardships
I will always bring them back home.

Don't worry my precious little man
I have heard you loud and clear.
I know that others will learn the truth
About the pain you held so dear.

I wish I could've made a difference
Given you someone to lend an ear.
But I promise you this and only one time
I won't let another child die alone in fear.

I will miss you forever
Even though you are always in my heart.
One day we will be together again
And from that day on we will never part.

I love you and miss you very much!
Love,
Aunt Mary
