In Memory Of Daniel A. Miller
March 12, 1953 - July 7, 2004
Sometime back a friend stopped by,
He had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.
We sat and visited for quite some time
When he left I thought everything was fine.
I got a phone call from my sister last week,
When I hung up the phone, tears ran down my cheeks.
What could have happened, what went wrong?
The last time we saw Dan he seemed so strong.
On July Seventh, Two Thousand and Four
My friend decided he didn't want to live anymore.
I guess he didn't realize how sad we would be,
I wish he had known, I wish he could see.
We all loved Dan in our own way,
Indeed this is a very sad day.
The last time we saw him things seemed so right,
We didn't see his pain, and he couldn't see the light.
If I had a magic wand I would wave it all day long,
God please send Dan back, he just can't be gone.
