My Friend

Thank-you for being my friend,
You were my friend and confidant,
I'm not ashamed to say,
That I wish it could have stayed the same,
You had no fears,
Remember the time,
You climbed up on the school roof,
To retrieve my lost ball,
Remember running and playing,
In the pouring down rain,
I want to thank-you,
For never judging, Even with all of my faults,
In only a few short months,
You seamed to have left an impact on my heart,
One to last a lifetime,
You taught me so many new,
And wonderful things,
Life is short, Fill it with all that we've got,
If you are looking down on me friend,
Remember only the good times,
My tears that are sometimes shed,
Are for you buddy..
